Lifestyle Transition Services was founded by leading seniors housing advisor Linda Coskerie. Linda saw a need for a comprehensive service to provide practical advice and services to assist older Australians and their families with the emotional and physical aspects of relocation and/or ‘ageing in place’, with the aim of reducing the time and costs, stress and pressure associated with these lifestyle changes.
“A few years ago, I lost both my parents in close succession,” recalls Linda. “At the time, I was living an hour’s drive away and raising two teenagers, while working full time. Feeling overwhelmed was an understatement as I attempted to juggle my parental / work responsibilities, while trying my best to provide the physical, practical and emotional support to my ageing parents during a time of crisis.”
“As a senior housing advisor, I also witnessed the struggles of older clients who had left selling their family home until ill health or another crisis forced their hand. I also witnessed the lack of coordinated services, knowledge, or inexperience of some service providers when dealing with vulnerable older people and/or their families.
Hence Lifestyle Transition Services came into being as a comprehensive service providing beginning to end solutions for people as they transition from working life to retirement and from independent living to aged care. It’s all about working together to make the right choices at these critical life junctions for your future comfort and security and easing the entire process.”
A long-time resident of Sydney’s North Shore, Linda has a comprehensive grasp of the growing number of options for seniors’ housing and has the distinction of being the first Accredited Seniors Real Estate Specialist, and Certified Seniors’ Housing Professional, in Australia.
“Personal experience, together with additional specialised training I have undertaken, has placed me in a unique position to be able to assist older adults and their family members as they navigate the complexities associated with relocation and/or ‘ageing in place’ issues,” says Linda.
Linda has a dynamic combination of professional experience in the industry and beyond, from property development to sales, and local government strategic planning to senior service management.
